Rail maintentance planning application integrated with intelligent scheduling optimisation. A bespoke application that is used for planning rail maintenance activities, providing statistics and visualisations of rail condition, and aligning with job execution progress via direct integrations with SAP.
Developed as part of the Digital Systems (Maintenance Subdomain) team at BHP. Worked as a full-stack developer implementing application features, API system integrations, and productionisation of data pipelines.
PubMed Connections
A web-app for investigating collaborative and subject/topic relationships among medical research individuals. This app allows researchers contributing to the PubMed archive to discover the trends in their local area of research.

Spiral-Arm Segmentation of Spiral Galaxies
An investigation into the use of Deep Learning to perform image segmentation of substructures of Spiral Galaxies. Given the limitations of current techniques used to extract areas of spiral arms, this research project demonstrated the great potential of a Neural Network to solve such dynamic, complex tasks.
Completed as part of my final-year research under the guidance of Dr Kenji Bekki (ICRAR).
Smart Bin
Cloud-connected IoT device developed as a proposal for an improved waste-tracking system with the goal of household usage. A Raspberry Pi touchscreen interface integrated with a bar-code scanner notifies users of the correct disposal method (recycle, landfill, etc) and logs disposals to the cloud for trend analysis and analytics.
Completed as part of a cloud IoT project for a university course.
Small Target Tracking
A system using traditional image-processing techniques to track multiple moving objects within a series of satellite images. This project demonstrates the strength of simple techniques (e.g. Inter-frame difference, region growing/shrinking, morphological cues etc) and their importance in image-processing. Presents the usage of the app in a simple GUI for parameter tweaking and a visualisation of the tracked objects.
